A.J. Brickler III, M.D., a Tallahassee native, received his Bachelor of Science degree from Florida State University and his medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine. He completed his medical training in 1986, where he served as Administrative Chief Resident at Howard Hospital, and went into private practice. Dr. Brickler is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He has served as Chairman and Vice-Chairman of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and as Chief of Medical Staff at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital.
Dr. Brickler served as Honorary Chairman for the March of Dimes Program from 1998 to 2003 and was awarded The March of Dimes Mission Possible Award in 2003. He is a member of the American Medical Association, National Medical Association, Florida Medical Association, Capital Medical Society, American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and American Fertility Society. Dr. Brickler was recognized by Consumers Research Council of America as one of “America’s Top Ob/Gyn’s.” He is currently a member of the clinical faculty of the Florida State University College of Medicine and the TMH Family Medicine Program.
Dr. Brickler enjoys flying and photography and is an avid runner. He enjoys most of all spending time with his wife Mildred, a graduate of Duke University with a degree in Physical Therapy, and their two sons, Alex and David. Dr. Brickler and his family are members of Trinity United Presbyterian Church.
