Lindsay Hinson, MD, FACOG

Lindsay Hinson, MD, FACOG, joined North Florida Women’s Care in June of 2021. She brought with her eight years of post-residency experience as a partner at Women’s Care Florida, a large private practice in Tampa. She gained experience in all aspects of obstetrics and gynecology, including minimally invasive surgery and high-risk obstetrics. She also served on the Physician Quality Committee at St. Joseph’s Women’s Hospital.

About her professional mission, she says, “My goal is always to take excellent care of my patients and to make them feel valued and understood.”

Dr. Hinson was born and raised in Tallahassee and graduated from Leon High School. She graduated first in her class at Wingate University, where she was an Academic All-American volleyball player and a Woody Hayes National Scholar Athlete. Dr. Hinson went on to earn her medical degree from the Florida State University College of Medicine. While at FSU, she was vice president of FSUCares and a member of the Gold Humanism in Medicine Honor Society. She completed her residency at Shands in Gainesville, through the University of Florida. 

Dr. Hinson and her husband, Shane, have 3 children. North Florida Women’s Care delivered her oldest child while she was a medical student here at FSU. She and Shane are licensed foster parents and have provided foster placement for four children in recent years. They love Florida State football, playing volleyball, hiking and all things outdoors.
